Teacher Spotlight

Mrs. Debbie Hayes became a teacher because she was a cadet in her senior year in high school, and loved the littles.  She also wanted to make a difference in children’s lives. Mrs.Hayes went to college at Indiana University.  Mrs. Hayes became a teacher because she went to school at Loogootee and wanted her children to go to school here.  Mrs. Hayes has been teaching 20 years.  Mrs. Hayes chose the grade level she teaches because she is certified in Reading Recovery.  If Mrs. Hayes could teach anywhere it would be Loogootee because she loves the community.  Mrs. Hayes has so many memorable moments of teaching she can tell them all.  Mrs. Hayes was most influenced by Beth Butcha.  For leisure, Mrs. Hayes enjoys boating and spending time in the boat at the cabin.
