HEAD COACH- ROGER BAILEY #31 Head coach Roger Bailey is entering his 5th year as head coach of the Loogootee Lions. In 2011 Coach Bailey led the Lions to their first Regional title since since 1983. His overall record through three years is 74-43-1. Coach Bailey graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1988. He attended Wabash Valley Junior College his first two years and finished his degree at Oakland City University in 1994 while lettering two years for the Mighty Oaks Baseball team. In his 14th year at Loogootee as a teacher and coach, Bailey currently teaches government, united states history and sociology. He is married to Jennifer (Chamness) and have three children Breah, Dax, and Shae. |
ASSISTANT COACH-MIKE WININGER #12 Assistant Coach Mike Wininger is entering his 4th year as the baseball program's varsity assistant and JV coach. Coach Wininger graduated from Loogootee High School in 2004. He attended Olney Central College to continue his baseball career and ultimately transferred to Vincennes University where he receive his B.S in Mathematics Education in 2009, and received his master's degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University in 2012. He is married to Jill (Ackerman). In his fourth year as a teacher and coach, Wininger currently teaches Algebra II and Geometry. |
VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT COACH-ED HARDER Assistant Coach Ed Harder continues to dedicate much of his time to help the program wherever needed. Coach Harder spends much of his time helping the junior high program during games and practices. Coach Harder is married to Carol (Jones) together they have two kids Mitch and Shelby. |
VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT COACH-GARY FRYE Assistant Coach Gary Frye continues his volunteer work with the Lions baseball program. Coach Frye spends his time helping with the varsity and junior varsity baseball teams. Gary is employed at NSWC Crane. Gary is married to Janie and they have three kids, Kyle, Andrea, and Alex. |
