Mr. Julian went to the University of Evansville for two years and the University of Southern Indiana for two years. He wanted to become a teacher so he could share his knowledge of Spanish and physical fitness, and as an avenue to get into coaching. Mr. Julian holds a degree in Physical Education/Health and a minor in Spanish. He also holds a master's degree in Administration.
Julian comes to Loogootee after 4 years of teaching at Reitz High School and 4 years of teaching at Boonville High School. He wanted to become a Lion because he already had some great relationships here and he has a big appreciation for the support that the small town gives its school. He likes his new job because he enjoys the interactions with this age group and the influence he can have on decision making and the help he can give them in their extracurricular experiences as well.
His favorite part of his job is seeing kids do things they didn't think they could do, whether in the classroom or athletics.
His most memorable moment for teaching is when students tell him they've used what they have learned in real life situations.
He feels that it is his parents and coaches that have influenced him to get to where he is now.
When Mr. Julian is not at school or a sporting event, he enjoys being with family, golfing, running, and being at the beach.
