Principal's Message

Welcome to Loogootee High School and Middle School.  Our new website is designed to give parents and students easy access to important information such as the school calendar, scheduling, potential scholarships, and details regarding our extra and co-curricular activities. We also hope the new site will provide guidance for prospective families looking to make Loogootee the best choice for their children.

Loogootee offers numerous opportunities and advantages for students who are interested in earning college dual credit while completing their high school diploma.  Additionally, students currently have 13 academic pathways to choose from covering many different career paths to better prepare for life after high school. Students also have an opportunity to earn an Associate diploma while attending LHS through our partnerships with Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana State University, Vincennes University, and Indiana University.  The savings created by completing core college academic work while attending high school amounts to several thousand dollars.

In addition to the dual credit opportunities, Loogootee High School and Middle School offer many different Project Lead The Way (PLTW) courses that pull from the STEM curriculum and give our students first hand experience and an academic edge when preparing for studies beyond high school.  Loogootee is currently the smallest school in Indiana to offer so many PLTW programs. All of the advantages for our students help define the meaning of “Big Enough To Deliver, Small Enough To Care”.

Our goal is to offer the best possible academic experience for all of our students.  Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Chris Walker, Principal
