Loogootee Community School Corporation is respected for producing successful graduates who go on to accomplish great things. CEO's, doctors, musicians, and professional athletes are just a sampling of our alumni. The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) located in our backyard employs many of our graduates in areas including engineering and computer science.
Loogootee Community School Corporation is the smallest district in the USA to offer the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum in grades K-12, allowing our students to learn real world skills in the areas of engineering, computer science, and biomedical sciences. All students in grades K-12 receive their own computer.
Loogootee Schools, located in Martin County, provide a caring, welcoming atmosphere while providing a high level of education. We have outstanding students, faculty, and staff who work well together to create an outstanding learning environment with many opportunities, including showing help our students show their Lion Pride through the LCSC "Mane Traits."

Loogootee Elementary is the proud home of over 300 amazing PreK-4th grade students. Our staff of caring professionals serves as a family to meet the individual needs of each and every one of our students. LES students are challenged every day with a wide variety of learning experiences, opportunities to grow in a nurturing environment, and our continuous goal of showing Lion PRIDE through our "Mane Traits."
LES students participate in Project Lead the Way in every grade level and engage in STEM Friday challenges, which has allowed LES to be certified as an IDOE STEM Certified School. Teachers challenge and remediate based on individual needs during times built into the daily schedule, as well as through activities embedded throughout the school day. Childcare is offered before and after school and throughout the summer.

Loogootee Middle School and Loogootee High School serve students in grades 5-8 and 9-12 under the leadership of Mr. Chris Walker. Loogootee High School is one of only a few public high schools recognized by the Indiana Department of Education as STEM Certified in the entire state. LHS is home of Lion Manufacturing, one of the few student run businesses in the state. Lion Manufacturing employs machinists, fabricators, marketing managers, and office managers who partner with Loughmiller Machine Tool & Design to produce parts that have been used on US naval warships and for limestone mining.
Thanks to our dual credit program, students at LHS can graduate with an Associate's Degree. Our families have saved thousands of dollars on college tuition because of our strong curriculum. Other features of LHS and LMS include the PLTW curriculum, award-winning music programs (choir, band, drama), and championship winning athletic teams in multiple sports.
