Welcome! The 2018-19 school year will be my tenth year teaching English and eighth year at Loogootee High School. I am very proud to be a part of such a great school with strong academic excellence. I graduated from Indiana University in 2009 where I received a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education- English. I am also currently enrolled in a master's of Learning and Technology program through WGU.
My husband, Aaron, and I live in Jasper with our smiley and silly 10 month old baby girl, Amelia, and our happy-go-lucky, goofy, 115 lb. fur baby, Atticus. I enjoy all things reading and writing (no surprise there), as well as the outdoors, live music, cooking, and politics.
My classroom's goal is for all of my students to become better readers, writers, thinkers, speakers, and people.
I have extremely high expectations of all my students, and for that I will not apologize. I am asking for your help to maintain those expectations by checking with your son/daughter periodically to make sure that his/her work is being done. I am available to help students individually before school, during my prep period (6th period), and after school. Again, please feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions. I know what a large role parents play in their child’s life and thank you in advance for your support. I welcome your input and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or through the school at 812.295.3254, ext. 434.
